Every hero needs a trusty sidekick that will stick with them through thick and thin. One that may embellish the truth a bit, and make you look better than you may actually be. One that is always around to listen, with plenty of alcohol available. For Hawke, Varric is that man. He may have a thing for naming his weapons and an excessive amount of chest hair, but he's one hell of a dwarf to have by your side in combat.
